RTR Electronics has manufactured precision electronics in Limerick since 2004: printed circuit board assembly, box build, hardware design, repair and testing, and cable harnessing, for customers in medical devices, semiconductors, telecommunications, automotive, and industrial IoT. The operation is ISO 9001:2015 certified, and most of its business runs on long customer relationships, the kind where a single account can span a decade.

The situation

The existing website had aged the way manufacturers’ websites usually do: built once, updated rarely, and drifting further each year from the operation it was supposed to describe. A buyer landing on it learned less about the company than a phone call would have told them, and the buyers who never called learned nothing at all.

The decisions

The strategy conversation started with an honest number. A site like this will never draw consumer-scale traffic, and it doesn’t need to. The people searching for PCB assembly or box build services in Ireland are few, but nearly every one of them is a potential customer, and a single qualified manufacturing inquiry can open a relationship measured in years. So the rebuild optimized for two things: being found for the precise capability terms RTR’s buyers type, and converting that visit into a contact-form inquiry with as little friction as the industry’s buying habits allow.

Structure did most of the work: a page per capability, a page per industry, written in the buyer’s vocabulary rather than the manufacturer’s. The whole job is reaching the few hundred buyers a month who search for these services.

What happened after

Both goals hold in production. The rebuilt site, live at rtrelec.com, ranks for its niche capability terms, and inquiries arrive through the contact form at a steady rate, which is the channel that matters for a manufacturer whose customers start with a conversation. The engagement covered strategy through development, delivered by the principal.

We couldn’t be happier with the website AetherWorks designed for our company. Their attention to detail was remarkable […] and they truly understood our audience, crafting a user-friendly experience that speaks directly to them. From concept to launch, the team was professional, creative, and committed to excellence.
