Run by the person who builds.
AetherWorks is a deliberately small product studio. One senior person owns your product from spec to production, building alongside Armel Kembe, a senior full-stack engineer with more than ten years of experience.
Where this studio comes from
Nicolas Santos founded and ran a four-person product studio in France, building web and mobile products for paying clients. Then two years in Toronto as principal product manager at a digital agency, writing the specs and running the delivery of enterprise platforms. Then more than five years as the embedded build partner behind a Toronto B2B agency, shipping production work for enterprise and institutional clients under its brand.
That path is why the studio works the way it does. Nicolas has been the PM who writes the spec, the developer it gets handed to, and the founder who answers for the invoice. What the layers of a traditional agency cost, in money and in what gets lost between them, is not a theory here. AetherWorks removes the layers and keeps the discipline.
The studio works in French and English as equals. Nicolas is French, lives in Toronto, and has shipped bilingual products where the French was the point of the engagement.
The habits
Spec before code
Every build starts from a written spec with acceptance criteria. It is the cheapest place to be wrong.
Proven technology, owned by you
We choose proven, widely supported technology a future developer will thank us for, and the repository and infrastructure are yours from day one.
Measure everything
Monitoring, analytics, and the target number ship with the first release. Every result we publish comes off one of those dashboards.
Working software every week
You see the product run every week, starting with the first one.
Small on purpose
No bench to feed means no pressure to sell you more than the problem needs. When a project needs more hands, Armel Kembe and trusted specialists join under the same spec.
Tell us what should exist. A short call, a clear recommendation.
In English or in French. If we’re not the right studio for it, we’ll say so on the first call and point you somewhere better.
